St. Louis County Public Health has two new 28 foot trailers for COVID-19 testing. The trailers will enable testing to be brought to different communities throughout Duluth.
Their first testing event was at Asbury UMC on Wednesday, February 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. They will also be at Asbury on Wednesday, February 17 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Future testing dates at Asbury UMC are TBD.
People can drive up and a test is brought to the car or they can go into the trailer to be tested. The saliva testing is open to everyone whether you have symptoms or not. There is no cost but if you have an insurance card, please bring it with. You must not eat, drink, chew or smoke anything for at least 30 minutes before taking the test.
Additionally, the Duluth Branch of the NAACP were handing out free face masks during the testing time on February 3.
