Prayers In Action Gathering

Basic CMYK

Beginning on Thursday, September 18 at 11:00 am, people interested in gathering to share, reflect, and respond to one another in care and support will gather in the Wesley room.

As indicated in the August Messenger, this time will be a continuation of the “Unafraid” book study by Adam Hamilton. You do not need to have read the book or participated in that study to be a part of this group. As co-coordinators, Pastor Katherine and Cathy Sampson, felt led to continue convening a gathering time for persons to share their cares, concerns, fears, and anxieties, if they wish.

More importantly, it is a time to be intentional about supporting one another, praying for one another and our city, state, country, and the world, and committing to this from Philippians 4:5b-7, The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.

Beyond claiming God’s abiding love and peace for us, we will explore ways we can act in sharing that love with others; to live generously. All are welcome.
