The Season of LENT
Lent is a season of 40 days (and six Sundays) beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Holy Saturday. It is a time of self examination, reflection and preparation for the coming of Easter . . . a time to focus on our relationship with God. The use of ashes at our March 5, Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 pm is a sign of our
mortality and repentance. Knowing and experiencing God’s forgiveness allows us to honestly reflect on our lives in preparation for the renewal and the resurrection of Easter.
