You may be interested in a new outdoor activity starting this May (pending) – monthly guided walks or hikes on the third Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to noon. The walks will be guided by Larry Sampson, who has worked for the Superior Hiking Trail Association for the past 15 years.
Each walk/hike will be approximately 3 miles and will vary from easy to moderate in difficulty. Larry will highlight points of interest (Forgotten Park, Brewer’s Loop, around the zoo) and talk about his experiences on the trail, including areas devastated by the 2012 flood and then repaired or replaced.
The first walk/hike will be an easy stroll on the Munger and Western Waterfront Trail, Saturday, May 16 (pending). Future walks or hikes will be on local Duluth sections of the Superior Hiking Trail.
