Summer is coming to an end and as children and youth are getting ready to go back to school, we are busy planning the beginning of the church program year. At the top of our list is our Christian Education and our Sunday school program! Rally Day is September 10, 2023, with a meal following our worship service and Sunday school program. Our theme this year is Wesley’s Three Simple Rules: Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love with God.
Sunday school registration forms were sent out and will also be available on Rally Sunday. They are also available for download HERE.
If you have a child third grade or above who has not received a bible from Asbury, please contact the church office and let us know, 218-624-0061. Bible Sunday is October 8, 2023, and we would like to celebrate your child.
Alice Brenny and Sandy Winklesky will be our Sunday school teachers with the Christian Education Team helping and substituting when needed. Our Sunday mornings will begin in worship at 10:00 am and children will worship with their families until Children’s Time. After that, they will go downstairs for class. We will also send crafts and/or letters to our shut-ins as a service project each month. The second Sunday of each month will continue to be Children’s Church/Birthday Sunday.
We also look forward to our Fall Festival on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The children will have crafts and games during Sunday school. After worship, we will share a potluck meal together as a family.
We hope you will join us Sunday, September 10 at 10:00 am for Worship and Sunday school followed by lunch provided by the Christian Education Team after the service.
